Center stage, Wellington—the black-and-white dog—lies motionless under a stark white overhead spotlight, a garden fork embedded in his body and oriented toward upstage. Surrounding him, ensemble members portraying the “Voices” circle the space in teal-blue sidelight, their partially shadowed forms contrasting the clinical isolation of the bright central special.
