I'm a Massachusetts-based lighting designer, theater technician, and high school student. I'm interested in using lighting to enhance and contextualize theatrical storytelling.

With credits in lighting design, sound engineering, and other technical elements of children's, young adult, and community theater, I have gained hands on design and technical experience from a young age.

I was introduced to the arts through music and performance. Still a performer and theater-kid, I perform in multiple productions a year and sing in chorus and in an a cappella group. The technical element of theater was introduced to me through my involvement in performances, and I began volunteering as a technical assistant and assistant director at thirteen.

I have extensive experience in ETC Eos lighting control boards, a variety of lighting software such as Capture and Lightwright, and in rigging. I am also skilled in sound engineering as well as basic networking and projection mapping.

On this site, I aim to not only showcase my work, but also my process. I pride myself on being organized, communicative, and adaptive. I truly believe that these qualities make for great design.

Stagecraft & Rigging: Various LEDs and conventional fixtures, counterweight fly operation

Skills

  • Communicating with various members of production including actors, directors, SMs, and technical colleagues.

  • Creating and implementing processes used by production staff to increase team organization.

  • Assisting with scenic design to enhance the quality and cohesiveness of sets and lighting in productions.

  • Quickly designing and programming under tight schedules and, often, before being in the performance space.

  • Working with children and adolescents in both a directorial and technical capacity.

  • Reading music and comfortably navigating libretti.
